We normally add one or two extra shrimp with the orders to cover any DOA (dead on arrival) which is very rare but occasionally it does happen. Shipping live animals are never without risks. Usually you as the customer will end up with a couple of free shrimp. We normally do not add extras with the more expensive shrimp for obvious reasons. If for some reason you receive dead shrimp to exceed the extras, you will need to take a photo of the dead shrimp while still in the unopened bag within 2 hours of arrival and email it to us. DOAs are not covered due to the package being left outside in the elements for an extended period of time. Please ensure that someone will be home to collect the package when it arrives. Of course we all know that things happen so I evaluate each situation on a case by case basis.
